Sweet Goodies

Precious... you are!!  Your kind, sweet words and encouragement have meant more to me than I could ever tell you!  Thank you from the very depths of my heart!

While I'm thanking you... I also want to thank our sweet friend Linda over at Parker's Paradise for this wonderful package that arrived in my mailbox a few weeks back!  I adored these sheep that she made and blogged about, but I knew there was no way that I could make them as good as our Linda and boy was I ever surprised and thankful to receive one!!  He is so sweet on my year round tree!

Linda's little tucks are SO adorable too!

Thank you dearly, my sweet friend for your big heart and  generosity!

Another wonderful package that arrived just today was an order that I placed from Lois over at Huckleberry Lady.  Lois recently had a giveaway for her adorable X's and O's.  I acquired if she had any left because I had to have them to put under my Valentine's tree.  One set left, YAY for me!  Aren't these just so sweet?

They are perfect sitting in an old metal strainer (that is sitting in an old wooden Carnation crate) under my year round tree covered in hearts.  The X's and O's really add a touch of sweetness!

Oh... there was also a nice little surprise of a Twix candy bar that was quickly stashed in my purse to enjoy at the basketball game tonight.  I pulled it out at the game and started munching away.  Rich looked at me and said "Where did that come from??"  I just smiled.  =]  So thank you Lois for the extra little treat, I did enjoy it!

Gonna spend the week cleaning, purging, and organizing my son's room and prepping it for paint.  Hope to sneak in some crafting somewhere along the way.  I have a few quilt block sawdust pillows ready to list on Etsy.  I love the old look and feel of them, definitely reminds me of days past.

I'm so thankful that God's mercies are new everyday.  I'm thankful for the valleys He has us walk through to strengthen us and build our character.  I'm thankful for the precious friends and family that he puts along our path through the valley to lift us up and encourage us on our journey.  My family has truly felt your prayers concerning our son and his school.  I'm not completely happy with the outcome of our situation but I know that this is the best route for all.  Things could have been much worse so I'm thankful that Rich and I stood up to the school officials and administration to let them know that we will not sit back and watch injustice.  We fought and won some, but not all.  Short term, it is a small victory but I know long term that they will remember that we are very involved in our children's lives and we do watch out for their well-being.

Again, I can not thank you enough for being there for me and being such a strong supporter and prayer warrior for us!  I truly love you each and every one!  =]

Those are great goodies you got from Linda, she really knows how to lift someone. I call her the Angel of blog land.
I LOVE all the hearts on your theme tree. My theme tree looks sad compared to yours.
I am also happy everything worked out for your son even if it only worked half of what you wanted but we are the same way for our youngest son, we back him 100% when there is injustice in the school system.
Hugs Friend,
Tricia

Good morning Angie...I see there are other up way before me and posting...lol

Linda always seems to know when to come through with her little Angel Gifts doesn't she...the sheep is too cute and Linda loves making these little pillow tucks. I was on the receiving end of some this past Fall - I adore them.

I'm so happy your family has the strength and faith and trust in Him to follow through with your convictions. Praying all of this will soon be just a bad memory for all of you.

Blessings sweet lady

I have been following along with your dilemma and want you to know that I am thinking of you always. With having put 4 kids through school and all that entails, I know what you are going through. My kids are good Christian kids but sometimes they still got in less than desirable situations that they (or we) had no control over. Adding insult to injury was the fact that my husband was/is a teacher at their high school. So believe me when I say we saw every situation from every angle! The youngest has graduated from college so believe me when I say that this too shall pass. God bless.

Angie, I am just catching up on blogs this afternoon and have read your past few posts. I hope and pray that everything is working out for you, your family and your son. I have been there a couple of times and I know that things are not always fair with the schools. I was always the first to admit when my girls were in the wrong and punish them at home, but had a few incidents where the school went too far. One time I even had to go appear before the magistrate. I tend to be a pretty good "debater" and somewhere along the line, I probably should have gone to law school...but that aside, I did win the case at the magistrate against the high school principal, who was in the wrong. You just have to stand up for your family and your kids sometimes. Hang in there!

It is always nice to hear that God has moved when we have come together & lifted a need in prayer. May He continue to move on this prayer request & open eyes. Your son is blessed to have you for his mom. That sheep is so adorable. All of your treasures are wonderful. So you didn't share the twix! LOL! Blessings!

Hello my friend...aren't you sweet stopping by my blog with a happy word.
I am so sorry for what you are going thru. I can only imagine what you are feeling.
After putting three thru high school, I could write a book, on the horrible things that have happened.
You are not alone, we are all cheering you on, and I see you have great faith.
GOOD LUCK!

Dearest Angie: What a good friend you are to receive such nice things from Linda.
I am glad you are finished with the situation with your son's school. I had to go to bat several times for my girls when injustices were done, on purpose or not. But I prayed about it and stood up to to bullies and we all got through it. You will too!
Thanks for stopping by, I am now your follower and thank you for being mine. Come back often, friend, as will I.
