Wow, it's been two weeks since I've blogged! I sure have missed it! =] You really don't realize how much your blog friends mean to you until you are away from them. You miss them. You think about them and wonder what they are doing. SO glad to be back with you girls!
I have lots of Mexico that I will be blogging about in the next few blogs. It was an incredible and enlightening trip for me. I learned a lot about me.
This is the very first picture I took on my trip. I'm not a big fan of flying, but I so love looking out the window of an airplane. It's only a picture of clouds, but it amazes me to be soaring above the clouds! God's beauty is so incredible. I can't wait to see the beauty in Heaven. What we have here on earth is but a glimpse. Can you imagine what it will be like?!
The first thing we did when we arrived was change into our summer clothes and head for the beach!
The bungalow that my parents lived in this year was nice and I loved the huge palm tree that was right beside it. Palms are so mesmerizing to me.
My first lesson, well I guess I should say reminder because I've been down this road before... the market. It's quite the shopping experience. I'm reminded how extremely blessed and rich that I am! There are so many poor people, it just breaks my heart! I wanted to give money to every single vendor. They get there early in the morning, set up their wares, and spend the whole day trying to make a few pesos to support their family. Some have store bought items to sell, while others show their talent with gorgeous hand made items. That is where I spent my pesos. My sister and my dad are in the middle of this picture.
Even though I'm not a *pink* fan (sorry Cora!), this is one of my favorite pictures from my trip! The buildings are so colorful in Mexico. The flowers are beautiful year round. That first sight of a lovely flower put a smile on my face! Simple pleasures.
Being the chronological freak that I am, I believe I will stop this post here for now. The next leg of my trip is our morning walk with Dad and it is loaded with gorgeous flower pictures!
I am grateful for this trip to Mexico that has reminded me how blessed my life is and how thankful I am that God has situated me in the place and time that I am in.
