Blessed my heart!

I love getting email and blog comments from precious friends, but nothing is sweeter than a handwritten note or handmade card received in the mail!  Know what I mean?

This darling card was handmade by my thoughtful blog friend Cora.  She exemplifies her blog title "Heartfelt and Homemade".  Go visit her blog; she is a ray of sunshine with a sweet spirit and a little fun thrown in for good measure.

I wanted to share the inside verse with you because it is so fitting of the blog community.  I have met some wonderful people this past year and I'm so thankful for all the friendships that God has blessed me with.

Thank you my dear friend Cora and the rest of you that have blessed my heart!

Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

Now on to a little tweaking, I bought these two small benches a few weeks ago.  At the time I wasn't thinking about putting them together, but it turned out to be a cute little display.  My teddy bear has a 100th anniversary tag on its ear that I never pay attention to.  I didn't realize how much it shows.  Now I'm thinking I'm gonna have to cut it off.  Hmm...

My precious little 4 yr old boy doesn't agree with this display.  He has been using the cream stool in the bathroom to reach the sink.  He didn't like "his" stool being taken away.  *Sigh*

Speaking of my precious little 4 yr old boy... I really wanted to do this in my dining room...

But before I could even place the last bowl on the bench, the sweetie had jumped on, pulled himself up to the counter and sat there looking at me with a precious smile!  So for now it sets like it is with empty bowls.  I will be re-doing the bench when the weather gets warmer anyway.  I guess this will be a test to see if I can keep him off of it, the little rascal.  You gals out there that have little ones, how do you do it?!?  I have taught all three of my kids that my things are off-limits to them.  They all learned this at an early age.  But this last child... he's a little more hard-headed or I'm just not as patient as I used to be.  Haha!  My little one always has to be by my side no matter what I'm doing.  So when I'm crafting, it doesn't feel like much gets accomplished because he has to be right there.  I even fixed him up a little area for all his craft supplies and he still has to be right there where I am.  I guess I need to enjoy our time together for in a few months he will be starting Pre-Kindergarten.  I tell myself every single day 'Enjoy this for one day he will be like the 14 yr old son who doesn't have time for his Momma anymore'.  Boy does the time ever fly!

I'm getting ready to make some Oreo truffles and peanut butter kisses cookies for my daughter's teachers tomorrow.  I think I should double batch the truffles... they are scrumptious!  It's really hard to eat just 1!  =]

Have a delightful week my dear friends~

I know exactly what you mean! My little one is constantly running off with my display items-I find my stools at the sink and my bears in bags or being pushed in a buggy!! I just go with it for the non-breakables....
Love your displays-the stools look lovely and happy valentines to you too:)
Blessings, Shazy x

Love your benches! I only have one son who is 16 years old (going on 30 ~ he knows everything and Momma knows absolutely nothing!) so I can't remember too much of the clinginess stage. It is hard sometimes to not let them get on your nerves when you are trying to do something that needs your full attention. But like you said, they grow up way too fast and it's good that you can remember that and realize how much he needs you right now. That is so sweet!

Thank you so much for reading my blog and leaving me such sweet comments. You are a sweetheart and I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day! I love the card your friend sent and the verse is perfect!
Hugs,
Donna

YOu, my friend, are too sweet. I'm so pleased that you liked your card enough to show it off! :)
I love your display too. The two stools stacked is adorable....and I love the bench with the bowls on it.
Sorry I can't help you with the little one. I only had one child and she was not much trouble. I'll be calling you when she has me some grandchildren!
Blessings to you as you are to me!

Friendship is one of life's sweetest blessings and how thoughtful of Cora to make such a beautiful card! I love the verse inside, too!
I can tell where you are coming from with your 'sigh'! Raising kids is the most responsible job in the world and that's why I can only try to do it with God's help and promised wisdom.
Blessings to you sweet friend!

Hi Angie, I guess the one thing I can say about your little one is be very thankful he's wanting to be near you ... his precious 4 year age will soon disappear and he'll be 14 and not wanting to be around...sigh!

What a sweet note from Cora...and the card is lovely.

I had to giggle when reading about your little one=) I don't have any little ones anymore...my baby is 7 almost 8 & I do kind of miss those days. They just grow up so darn fast!
I love your stacking benches & I can't wait to see your makover on the other one.
