Prayer Warrior Friends... I Need You!!

My prayer warrior friends, I really need you right now.  I have never posted anything negative or personal on my blog, but I have an issue that I need prayers for.  I KNOW that my God has this under control and I KNOW that His will for this situation will be done.  I need prayers for strength, for courage, for wisdom.

Without going into details, there was a situation yesterday at my oldest son's high school where he was involved.  The school never contacted us about it, he told me about it when I picked him up from school.  We did not think it was a serious issue.  But this morning, it became serious and legal. We are contacting a lawyer and I'm going to bat for my son.  Rich asked me to what extent do we want to fight this?  I told him that I don't want to lose my home over it but there is an injustice to my child going on and I refuse to sit by and let it happen.

I will be back next week with more details and hopefully a resolve on this situation.  I think the school thinks that we are going to accept it and move on, but this Momma bear will make sure her child is vindicated.

I am a very emotional person that too many times, lets my emotions get in the way and I'm also very NON-confrontational.  So please pray that I can be firm, have the courage to say what needs to be said and not let my emotions interfere.

Thank you dearly, friends!  I appreciate you and your prayers so much!  Sorry I don't have anything fun or prim, or pictures today, just a heavy heart.

  1. Oh my sweet Angie, I am going to go in my prayer den and pray as soon as I hit the send button. Sounds like you are only doing what any Mother would do for her child. My thoughts and prayers will be with you, your family, and your son.

  4. Your children need to know that you are going to stand up for and take care of them and support them no matter what. I am a serious mama bear too and if someone has done my child wrong LOOK OUT. I am proud of you. Having the courage to stand up and to fight injustice is a dwindling thing. It is scary but you can do it. The Lord helps the righteious triumph. Good Luck. -Steph-

  17. Holding up my end of the prayer chain here in Nod Angie - and, oh, this sound uncannily similar to a situation my son was involved in his senior year in highschool. And it was so, so, wrong - but even being an attorney, there was little I could do to "undo" the injustice. You are praying for all the right things my friend - and I hope your answers come swiftly on the wings of justice. Hugs from one Mamma Bear to another ~ Robin

  37. Angie, I know how you are feeling. This kind of defense never ends. We Momma Bears are there for our cubs--and their cubs--for life. You have my empathy and prayer support. Life is too short to allow injustice to dampen our cubs fervor for education or socialization. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Let him know that we are all thinking of him and know that you are doing the best you can to let him know that you believe in him!
