I am ready

Well, I was going to share some pictures of my crazy, busy month.  I went to Picasa and only found two pictures downloaded for the whole month.  Hmm... I guess that post will have to wait.

In the mean time, I would appreciate some prayer please!  Here I am, back to that same question What to do? that I posted back in October.  I think my time has finally come.  I think I am about to be a full-time stay-at-home mom with no more work outside the home.  Rich and I talked briefly (well, texted briefly) today.  I know I am ready.  There is no more wonder... no more doubt... no more anxiousness about making the right decision.  Ironically, I spent the day at work daydreaming about what my new life at home would be like.  Yes, I am ready!

Prayers would still be appreciated!  Rich tried to get me to quit now but I am holding out.  We have three loans that total $5946.20.  My goal is to stay at work until they are gone.  But by the way our summer is filling up; I'm thinking it's going to be a little while longer until those loans are gone.  Rich even said he would pick up overtime here and there to make up for the loss of my pay.  He just wants me to be happy.  What a sweet man!

I truly desire to make the right decision for my family.  I am willing to put my needs and my feelings aside to serve my family.  Please join me in prayer for guidance, for wisdom to know when it's time.

I am so grateful to have a community of sisters that I feel comfortable enough to share what's on my heart.  I truly believe that you will pray for me.  Thank you dear ones!

  2. Good Morning Angie,
I will pray for your decision. I began to work when my kids were still young, and I regret all that time I spent working. There are so many reasons, but the main reason is that they are grown before you know it, and you can never get that time back. Money is money, and somehow bills always get paid, and bills always come. The focus needs to be on the family and on time spent...not spending money and paying off the bills. I'm not saying it well here, but what I am saying is If you trust the LORD to help you pay off the bills, you will be surprise just how HE does it! Even if you don't work, The LORD will show you how to save and pay the bill off. When we try to do it ourself we may even find we add to the bills.
My DH has been out of work for 1.5 years, and I haven't worked in 3 years. I could have panicked a while ago, and gone back to work, but we talked it over and I stayed home because of my 6 grandchildren and because of my health which deteriorates when I work. The LORD has not only allowed us to pay all our bills on our little unemployment check, but we save money. So don't be afraid of leaving work. JUST LISTEN TO THE LORD LEADING YOU IN YOUR DAILY DECISIONS! OBEY!

Love and prayers to you! Cathy

  3. Dear Angie, there's no doubt that for you this is a huge decision but with Rich supporting you 100% you have everything to gain. I know the LORD will draw near and give grace and help because you trust in Him.
The LORD is no man's debtor.
Hugs and prayers for you all,
    Christine

  4. You will know when the time is just right, follow your heart with God's guidance. We went through the same thing about me quiting to stay at home after Holly got married. When I saw that we could save my whole pay check and it was not needed for monthly expenses...that and a huge problem with another employee at my work...pushed me on out the door. What you need to work out will and what you desire with good reason God will provide if you rely on Him through it all. For He alone knows what is best.
Good luck and blessings to you and your beautiful family.

  5. Ang...of course I'll pray along with you. You know my path this year involved this very thing. I pray for wisdom, faith and courage. Stepping into the sea is the first and hardest step. Love you, dear one.

  6. Praying that God would give you the wisdom and discernment in your decision. It has been a huge blessing to Mike and me that I have been able to stay home with Kayleigh since she was born, and now we are home schooling. It's been a huge blessing for all of us. God honors us when we desire to live for Him in all that we say and do. With His guidance and direction we can never go wrong :)

  7. JUST DO IT!
Bills come and go but, your little one is small once. Don't miss them growing up. God is showing you, OPEN YOUR EYES. You need to have faith and jump with both feet.

  8. I am once again playing blog catch up. :-) I don't know if you've officially quit your job, but I would be among the first to tell you that I have never regretted quiting mine! We blink and our kids are grown...who wants to miss that?

  9. Thank you so much for the sweet comments. I have been home for over 6 years. Every now and then, I think about going back to work full time. However, I know what God's plans are for me....home with my darlings. I will be praying for you too.
